With a combination of unmatched skill, incredible athleticism, and a relentless drive to succeed, Scotty is pushing the boundaries of what's possible on the halfpipe and beyond. At the age of three, Scotty fell in love with the sport and at fourteen he started competing professionally, making history as one of the youngest athletes to ever compete in the Winter Olympics. Since then, Scotty has ascended to the top ranks and continues to break records and win championship titles. With 2 Olympics medals, 9 X Games Medals and 3 World Halfpipe Championship Gold Medals, there is no bigger name in the sport right now. Renowned for his remarkable talent and groundbreaking performances on the halfpipe, he has cemented himself as a global icon who continues to push the boundaries of the sport with his unparalleled skills and relentless drive for excellence.
Off the snow, Scotty is making an impact in the entrepreneurial space, producing top-quality content via his owned and operated production company 11Oakland. He is also building out a comprehensive portfolio of strategic investments across the technology and consumer product industry, headlined by his role as a strategic advisor and investor for the X Games. Through this position, Scotty plays a pivotal role in guiding the growth and direction of the X Games business through forging strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, contributing to strategic planning, facilitating athlete feedback, and much more.
Scotty’s passion lies in working to strategically push the sport forward, inspire the next generation of snowboarders, and leave a legacy, all while still actively competing at the top of his game. As an X Games advisor, Scotty is working with their team to introduce X Games League – a bold, new global format in 2026 that will create a year-round international competition calendar for X Games. It will also introduce a new, innovative teams format that will provide X Games League athletes with a new level of stability — including an annual base salary, benefits, and additional commercial opportunities.
Scotty was recently announced as Thredbo’s newest ambassador as they are set to build Australia’s first 22ft winter halfpipe for Olympic training at their alpine resort. Alongside the full-size half-pipe, Scotty has donated a mini pipe cutter to Thredbo, which will provide skiers and snowboards of all ages and abilities with the opportunity to have fun and progress their skills, while also serving as a resource to cultivate a new generation of aspiring Australian snowsport athletes by providing them the infrastructure to train and compete at the highest level.
This August, Scotty will be debuting his first children’s book series called 'MOOKi vs The Big Scary', with Penguin. As a child, Scotty was encouraged to tap into his creative side and was often doodling cartoons and animations. Inspired by his childhood nickname ‘MOOKi’, Scotty brought this alter-ego to life through his drawing of a character of the same name, geared up in an astronaut suit and, of course, Scotty’s signature red gloves. MOOKi was created as a symbol to always shoot for the moon and dream big – values instilled in Scotty by his family from an early age. Scotty embraces MOOKi as a constant reminder that he can conquer any hurdles that come his way.
