MOOKi Book Series
In August 2024, Scotty debuted his first children’s book series, called “MOOKi vs The Big Scary”, with Penguin Random House. The highly anticipated sequel “MOOKi vs The Terrible Toys” was released in December. As a child, Scotty was encouraged to tap into his creative side and was often doodling cartoons and animations. Inspired by his childhood nickname ‘MOOKi’, Scotty brought this alter-ego to life through his drawing of a character of the same name, geared up in an astronaut suit and, of course, Scotty’s signature red gloves. MOOKi was created as a symbol to always shoot for the moon and dream big – values instilled in Scotty by his family from an early age. Scotty embraces MOOKi as a constant reminder to conquer any hurdles that come his way.
MOOKi's Mission Grant
MOOKi's Mission Grant is a financial assistance program created by professional snowboarder Scotty James. This grant was designed to empower and support children in achieving their dreams and aspirations. It was first introduced at MOOKi's Mini Pipe Cup at Thredbo Resort in Australia in 2024. The grant provides essential funding to young individuals passionate about pursuing their goals in sports, arts, academics or other personal interests. The primary aim is to address and remove financial barriers that may impede their progress, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to realise their full potential.
